Christmas Day

Christmas Day began around 4:30 with Luke attempting to wake us to see if santa came. We shooed him back to bed. He returned around 5:30 asking again. Showed him once more back to bed. The around 6:00 he finally convinced us to wake up. So we woke everyone else and began our morning by checking to make sure santa came.
We have to block it because we have some sneaky kids and a dog that loves to get into snacks and food. Waiting for us to check.

Did santa come??? Lola Cate is not thrilled to have been woken up 3 hours before she likes to wake up!

He did come!!

And then the morning went a little something like the picture above. A bunch of presents opened. Lots of tissue paper and wrapping paper and boxes everywhere. Lots of fun to watch and see their reactions. Beau had trouble only opening his, we caught him opening everyone's presents but only because he didn't understand.

 Baby's first Christmas.

Nerf guns were a big thing this year plus Luke got a skateboard ramp that I think will be lots of fun for bikes too.

Then Papa and Anny came over and we started all over again!

Big boys got Zikes and Beau got a balance bike. All three were shocked! Beau is so proud of "my bike".

Completely forgot to get a family picture so I'm glad we got one last night at mass.

So happy to celebrate this sweet baby's first Christmas. She is such an amazing baby and so loveable.

Walkie talkie talking. They are so funny, they are usually close together when they talk on their walkie talkies, like close enough they can hear each other voices. This year they got walkie talkies with videos! So cool!

The reveal after lunch.

 ðŸ’œ Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve began with our 4:00 children's mass as we have done for the past several years and following mass we went to Gail and Phil's for some family time. The children were great for mass and super excited by the time we got to Anny and Papas house.

We tucked them into bed way late and hoped they'd sleep most the night.

Luke on the top bunk.

Henry on the bottom bunk.

Beau in his big boy bed.

Lola Cate saying her good nights and headed to bed.

Then mommy and daddy went off to work....til 1:30 AM but it's well worth it!

LC is 8 months

Lola Cate is 8 months old. I am still so thankful that God chose us to be her parents. She is such fun and so girly and can make you smile with her biggest grin. I am having a great time dressing her, I still haven't mastered dressing a girl. I've had to ask lots of questions. :)
LC has 3 meals a day. And nurses inbetween each meal or has a bottle from Anny if I'm at work. She is a pretty good eater. She likes puffs, wafers and graham crackers too. So far she won't tolerate anything chunky and will gag.
She is in size 12 month clothes and size 3 diaper. She is beginning to crawl. Actually she can crawl but chooses not to very often. She's still pretty slow but it doesn't bother her.  I'm not sure she realizes she knows how to crawl. :) when she does crawl, it's likely a peg leg crawl.
She likes to stand up to play now at her activity table. We have found her most commonly after a nap or night's sleep, standing in her crib (so glad I lowered it last month).
Lola Cate has 3 teeth in and 2 very close to cutting through. She hasn't been handling the teeth well, it's caused many nights of ups and downs. And runny noses. Once the tooth is through she seems to be fine. Other then teething nights, she still sleeps pretty good. She isn't really sleeping til 9:00 still. But she is still sleeping a goodn10 hours a night. I'll post pictures soon.

Luke is 8!!

Another year has passed and out first born is now 8. Eight years that we've been blessed to be parents. The child who is paving the way for his younger siblings is now 8 years old. Hard to believe but it's fun watching him grown and change and develop his own personality.
Luke is in 2nd grade. His teacher is Mrs. Abrams. He says he doesn't like school but he is always very happy any time I see him in the halls or outside. I think he loves the social aspect of school and his teacher this year is a perfect fit. She's just what he needs. Recently he has started talking about girls. Yikes, momma is not ready for that.
Luke is incredibly athletic in any sport we throw at him. He really can do anything. Currently he is into skateboarding. And as expected, he is really good at it. Thankfully Aunt RaRa and family got him a helmet and knee, elbow and wrist pads for his birthday. We have already been to the skatepark once and I'm looking forward to taking him back soon.

Luke's 8 year old stats:
70 pounds 😳
4 feet 5 inches
He was 85th and 88th percentile

 Copper brought a balloon again!

For his birthday he asked for a skate board. And, as expected, he is very good at it.

Copper dressed his army guy in his birthday outfit.

6 and 7 months old

Lola Cate is 6 months old. Actually she is 7 months old now. Life got a little busy these passed two months so I'm combining her 6/7 month post. And blogger has changed my app so I'm still trying to figure it out. Can add pictures yet. I'm working on that because pictures are a must. So. At six months Lola Cate grew two teeth. She sits up well. I still put a pillow around her just in case. Just momma being overly cautious. She is a busy body and if she can reach it she will grab it. Lola continues to be an amazing baby and loves her brothers. She knows how to make them smile and they know how to make her smile. I'm enjoying seeing the way they interact with her. Lola has her first ear infection. :( she is on amoxicillin currently for an infection in her left ear after two weeks of a yucky cold. Lola claps her hands on her legs when she is excited or happy. She is eating three meals a day. She has been introduced to all the veggies and now we are working on fruits with the veggies. She's a little picky but surprisingly chooses peas over green beans. She loves her cereal mixed with breast milk. We've made it half a year with breast feeding and show no signs of stopping anytime soon.
She is in clothing 9/12 months. Can occasionally fit into a 6 months piece. Shoes size is all over the place. I think she's a 2. She has small feet and they aren't chunky like the boys feet were. I'm not used to this petite frame! :) I have so much fun dressing her. She is in size 3 diapers.
We love our little Miss more and more each day. I am so thankful for her and her sweet spirit. I can't imagine our family without her.

Firsts

I can't wait a whole month to post this on her 6 month post so I had to go ahead me write tonight.

First off, Lola Cate cut her first tooth this weekend. She took it like a pro. Really didn't seem to bother her that I could tell. She has the bottom left front tooth. So right after turning 5 months she got her first tooth.
You can't really see the tooth well but it is there!!

Then tonight I was eating dinner with Lola next to me and she kept whining for food regardless of the fact she had just nursed not long before. So I said why not. Lola had her first food tonight, baby cereal. She loved it and she ate like a pro. She really would have eaten more if I had it. She probably had two tablespoons worth of baby cereal mixed with breast milk. I have a cute video but I can't upload videos on here anymore. So enjoy the pictures below. She was happy even though her face doesn't show it.
Very first bite. She thought the spoon was a toy.

There's a smile. She actually does like it despite what the pictures show. :) I'm looking forward to seeing how she reacts to cereal again tomorrow night.

5 months old

Our baby is growing up! Lola Cate is five months old! Lola is the happiest thing! She makes us all smile. My favorite thing is when she stares the boys down just waiting for them to look at her and then she gives them her best smile just to grab their attention so they will talk to her. She loves them and they love her!
Fun 5 months stats:
She is rolling over!! She rolls from her back to her front and even rolls over sometimes in her crib.
She loves to coo and talk to us.
Loves her fingers...no pacifiers for her!
She enjoys her walker at Anny's house and is pushing backwards in it.
Lola Cate sleeps from 8:00-9:00 typically 13 hours!!! She is definitely our best sleeper.
Lola takes typically one good nap a day. That nap is usually between 2 and 3 hours long. Then she will take cat naps off and on.
She poops about every three days and has yucky smelling gas leading up to those poops.
She is still exclusively breast fed. We will start cereal before she turns 6 months. When she takes bottles at Anny's house she takes around 5 ounces.
She is in size 2 diapers. Size 6-9 month clothing.
My girl like to hum when she is nursing. And she also like to rub my with her free hand or play with my clothes/jewelry.
She likes bath time but doesn't splash yet. Beau loves her bath time also and he tries to get in her tiny bath tub with her.
Lola Catherine was baptized last weekend. It was beautiful.
Lola Cate loves Cowboy. Cowboy was lukes most favorite baby toy. It went everywhere with us. Henry and beau didn't care for him so I'm glad Lola has shown some favoritism towards him.
Lola is with Gail and Phil during the day now while I'm at work so we soak up every bit of snuggle time on the weekends.
She is reaching and grasping toys so well now and has started attempting to grab my food. I think she's starting to notice and the want food we eat. So we are closer and closer to cereal.
She has been so much fun yet so different from the boys. She is still so girly in the way she talks and interacts with you. I love it!
Wearing a dress my mother made for Rachael when she was a babe. The dress (and Lola Cate) is beautiful!

With her pictures this time it was a battle to keep her baby out of her mouth. :)

Lola Cate and Cowboy.

Back sleeping. And tummy sleeping these days.

She is typically on her tummy when she wakes.
