Fathers Day

These are a little late in posting but we have had a busy week getting ready for the beach tomorrow. Fathers Day Thomas choose to have steak, potato and asparagus for dinner, all of his favorites. Luke ate steak and asparagus too.

caught both of them chewing...ha.

Chucke Cheese

Last week Luke had his first trip to ChuckeCheese! Thanks "Anny" for taking us! I wasn't surprised to see Luke so solemn, he is typically like this in new places. I don't think he cracked a smile the whole time. He had a good time but he was not a fan of Chucke! Sorry about some of the blurry photos...my camera has been acting funny lately.

Keeping his distance from the singing characters on stage.

18 month checkup

Luke had a shot today...and he is not happy about it.

Luke had his 18 month check up today. He hasn't grown that much but that is okay because he is still in the 90's percentile! He only had to have one shot so that was a nice change, usually we have atleast two! I thought for sure that he had gained a lot of weight but apparently not...
weight: 30 lbs (and some ounces-can't remember)
length: 33 1/2"

Hair

Luke has had several hair cuts since he was born. Two professional cuts (both of which I didn't like) and now 3 cuts from mommy. Five haircuts in all. Rachael and I cut his hair again this week (just the back) because it looked like this...

now doesn't that look like a girl from behind? The front, to me, doesn't look this long and it has begun to curl at times so I like it the way it is. In August, Luke will be going with Mommy and Aunt Rachael to get his hair cut in Asheville. Hopefully our favorite hair stylist will give him a great hair cut to get him ready to be in an very important upcoming wedding! :)

Furture Fireman

Luke and I spent our first week of summer vaca in Aiken!! We had fun and our week went by quickly. One morning, Grandpa Jimmy took us to the local fire department to check out the big trucks! Luke loved it but was a little hesitant at first...

Checking out all the trucks while Grandpa Jimmy talked with the firemen.

Finally got him onto a fire truck right before we left but he didn't want to smile for the picture!

a really big bell outside of the fire department

Golfing

Golfing with Uncle Patrick. Luke sat and watched as long as he could...thanks for being so patient with him Patrick!

Cooking with Mommy

Luke helped me cook many many loaves of banana nut bread this morning! And of course, he was the first to taste the bread when it had cooled!

Crunch Munch Crunch

Thomas and I had corn on the cob for dinner last night. Luke showed interest in mine as I was beginning to eat it so I gave him a bite. He loved it! He ate all of my corn and what was left over of Thomas' corn!
