Monkey Joes

It's been a long time since we did Monkey Joes. So while the big boys and I were alone after their Mother's Day program, we went. We had the place to ourselves practically. They very much enjoyed it. Even talked another child's grandfather into paying for a water play game (actually he offered).

Monkey Joe and DJ even came out. Henry kept his distance after a quick high five...

And Luke kept an even further distance...

Mothers Day

My first Mother's Day with three beautiful boys! I am so blessed to have been chosen to be their momma and I am thankful for each day with them, even the challenging ones. Luke and Henry had special things for me at school so I was able to take the day off to spend with them.
Henry and I had muffins together and watched a video of the 2 year old classes singing mommy songs. Later that week we were given a copy of it. So glad the teachers thought to do that.

Henry also made this sweet boot and flower for me. And the card behind it.

Luke's group had a big performance for mommys where they sang and had a small brunch and gave us a sweet gift also. I was so proud because Luke sang and faced forward the whole time. He is top left of his group.

After the school stuff I surprised the boys with a trip to Monkey Joes and a special lunch. We had a great day together.

Luke made this too. So cute! The teachers told me when they filled it out I was very pregnant with Beau so that explains a few of his answers. ;)

Beau in his matching shirt. Wish I got one of the three of them together.

Brotherly love

You know they love each other when they share a potty...

Monday

Today was hot. Really hot. So we did this!

Henry singing Luke his good morning song from school. Being sweet brothers drying off after playing in the sprinkler. I love it when I can sneak up on them and catch a really sweet conversation like this. After the good morning song Luke requested Jesus Loves Me which Henry gladly sang him.

H

"Look momma, H for Henry!" Said Henry with great excitement. Good job Henry! Prior to this he kept saying something about looking at a stop sign. There weren't any stop signs around... Now I know he was referring to Henry's sign as the stop sign.

Cabelas

Cabelas is the hottest new store in town. All of greenville has been excited about its opening this past month. So we waited for the crowds to slow and then we went. The neat part is all the wild life they have on display but I didn't get any pictures of that. I did get a picture of the ginormous fish tanks and my two big boys having a ball on the 4 wheelers outside! Henry was in heaven.

Maybe next year Beau will be a little more excited.

Artist

I was checking the boys folders one morning as we were getting out of the car and headed into school one early morning last week. Yes, even teachers get slack sometimes because that folder should have been checked the night before. Any way, for some reason I looked at the back of the worksheets before tossing them and found this jewel. As we were getting out of the car I asked Luke who was in his picture, secretly hoping if was me and him. :) however, it was not. Here is what he said.
That is me. And daddy. (Shoulda know) We are going up our steps in our house. And that (the object at the bottom right) is a heart. It means I love him.

2 months old 4-22-14

I'm a little late posting but I was waiting for our two month check up to update his weight and length. Beau is 2 months already and as sweet as can be.
He weighed 14.12 pounds at his checkup. That was 92nd percentile.
His length was 24 1/2 inches which was 88th percentile.

Fun facts about Beau at 2 months
He sleeps from 8 pm til about 5:30 on average. Sleeping through the night!
He doesn't nap much during the day unless he is being held or in swing or his chair.
Loves his big brothers and they still love him. :)
Starting to like his pacifier a little more (NUK silicon kind)
He stays with his Anny and Papa during the day while I work and takes 6 oz. bottles for them.
He is quickly getting out of 3 month clothes and is wearing many 6 month clothing already.
His size 1 diapers are getting snug and I plan to switch to size 2 this week.
Still loves his momma the best. 😍
He is holding his head up great in the sitting position but still doesn't like tummy time.
He is more tolerable of laying on his play mat and playing as long as you interact with him.
He focuses on toys and stares at the fan. He can also look you in the eye and focus on you. He interacts well when spoken to.
He smiles!!!! The sweetest smile! He responds to a smile with a smile (it's amazing how they know to do that) and loves to be talked to because he coo's back. He likes to talk on his changing table.

It's been a great month. He has adjusted well to me returning to work and I have too. 😉

After his shots at his two month check up. He had one in each thigh and was very brave. It was hard for big brother Luke to see though.

Big brothers playing at doctors office waiting for Beau's checkup.

Lashes are coming in!
