4K

It's official. Henry is no longer a 4K student. He is on his way to 5k at momma's school! Look out RGES. Henry had a great time at Simpsonville First Baptist CDC. He had great teachers and made wonderful friends.

Field trip!

Finally I was able to attend one of Henry's field trips. He was excited, until he realized he had to ride in my car and not on the daycare van, aka the school bus. But he got over it. We went to the Mauldin fire department. I think he had fun with the puppet show, safe smoke house, popcorn and fun games/prizes. I'm glad I was able to go.

Pocket bible

So Henry's teacher, Ms. Shannon, found his pocket bible in his back pocket today. I think it may have even gone on a field trip with him. I had no idea he had it with him until after school. Just so happens Thomas had just given him a lesson on the difference between scribbling in his bible versus highlighting important things in his bible. Good timing. :)

4k

I'm Henry can't wait to be at my big school.  But for now he will settle for 4k at Simpsonville first baptist CDC. He is happy there and likes his new teacher Mrs Shannon and assistant Mrs. Kathy. He enjoys being with his friends and I get the feeling he enjoys school in general.

My Henry is such a big boy. He managed to grow out of most of his clothes this summer and can now wear most of Luke's clothes. The two are built completely different. Henry will probably always be big and could very possibly eventually be bigger then Luke.
The pictures below are from Henry's second day of school.
In a hurry to get in there, he was excited.

4k

This handsome fella finished 4k last week. What a great year he had with Mrs. Julie and Mrs. Danielle. He met lots of new friends including two other Luke's in his class. I'm excited for him to move on to kindergarten this fall at my (our) school!

Below are Luke's teachers. Ms. Danielle left and Mrs. Julie right. Really enjoyed them this year. A really good match for Luke's personality.

Celebrations

We have had many sweet cards and gifts celebrating our sweet boy Beau but this is one I had to share. Luke's class and teachers made this card for our family. He is so proud and read all of his friends names to us. So thoughtful of them!

Name

The first time I have ever seen school work come home with his first and last name. Had no idea he could do this. Proud mommy/kindergarten teacher moment.

First day of school

What teacher wouldn't be excited to have these two in their class!

The first day was great! We just won't talk about the second day.

4k

My biggest boy is officially grown up. We had to buy our first school supplies! Luke will begin 4k this year and although I am excited for him, it's a little sad at the same time. That was an emotional trip to Walmart!
