3 year old well check

Henry's 3 year old we'll check proved once again that he is bigger than his big brother at thus age. This has been a constant for Henry since he was born.
His stats today, weight 40 pounds. That's 97.5%. Height, 39.76 inches. That's 93%. He is over 3 pounds heavier and a inch and a half taller than Luke at this age.
He was excited because he didn't have to get any shots today however we did do a diabetes test today because he stays so thirsty. I wanted to make sure there wasn't an underlying issue we weren't aware of. His results were great, 90 was his score. Not sure what that means but the doctor said it was great. She thinks his thirst could be from his sodium intake. At 3 years of age Henry still struggles with food choices and variety and is occasionally affected by texture. His newest addition to his diet is corned beef brisket! Who knew!!

He got one!

That was really hard!

Pedi

Nurse of the year award. We love our pediatrician's office. This is just one of the reasons! They understand the big ones get antsy and need to break free from the room and need someone else to entertain them sometimes. We sure do love nurse Martha! She is blowing bubbles for Luke and Henry here while I was in the room with Beau.

Boys

Henry's first fish

Not do sure he was a fan. His first catch however!

Brennan

Patrick Brennan Carlisle was born on June 25. We are so excited to have another boy cousin! He is named after his father and great paternal grandmother, Granmother Phyllis Brennan Carlisle. Congratulations to Patrick, Natalie and Emma Kate! We cannot wait to meet him! He is the 8th grand child in 5 years.

He got it

Beau is working on grabbing and holding this month. He is getting really good. You can see the concentration when he us trying really hard. And other times he gets it right away. He is good at grabbing my hair. :)
In the pictures he is holding what was Luke's favorite toy. Luke used to get into trouble at church with this toy, it squeaks on one part and he would find it during church and chew on it, making it squeak.

Swim lessons

We finally took the plunge and started the big boys with swim lessons. We are doing "Pike" at the YMCA. Both boys are in the same class with one other 3 year old named Knox. He is adorable. It's only 2 weeks long, 8 classes. Each day was different the first week. The first day Henry refused to get in. The second day Henry was a rock star and Luke cried through it but participated. The second week they both participated and did well. Getting more comfortable in the water. Above all their biggest growth was getting over the fear of putting faces in the water and learning basic moves, paint the ceiling, ice cream scoops, and chicken, airplane solder. They also learned how to center their bodies to float on their backs.

Last day fun! Jumping in.

4 months old

Beau is four months old! He is such a good baby. We are very lucky. And the big brothers are still doing great. They love to hold him and talk to him. They like to be the first ones to greet him in his crib in the morning now that we are on summer break. At his check up today we learned his stats.
Weight: 18.06 pounds 92%
Height: 26 inches 88%

In comparison to his brothers at 4 months, Luke was half an inch longer but half a pound lighter. Henry was also 26 inches but half a pound heavier. My expectations were that he would be bigger then both boys but he isn't. So we will see how he continues to grow.

Fun facts at 4 months
We started cereal. I think he likes it, maybe. Doesn't quite get the swallowing thing because I don't think he understands that it's food I'm putting in. The big bros can't wait til I let them feed him. We start veggies in a week.

He sleeps great through the night. Most nights he is in bed by 9:00 and wakes around 7:30/8:00 now that we are home for the summer. It feels great letting him sleep til he wakes on his own instead of having to wake him up to leave the house.

He wakes up happy and talking.

He wants to sit up or stand all the time. He likes to see his big brothers all the time. They are his entertainment.

Size 3 diapers, 6-9 month clothing, 6 oz bottles. And we've started the vitamin D supplement daily.

Naps aren't great. Poor kid gets shuffled all over town with activities for the family. But he is happy in the car and that's when he gets his good cat naps in. Occasionally I can get a good nap out of him in the afternoons in his crib, but not often. He has 2 loud and full of energy brothers.

He likes his jumper. Like Luke did.

He is beginning to hold objects. And reach for things.

Very content being outside.

He is teething. Drool and chewing all the time.

Sleeping on mommies legs.

Hands! He loves to talk to and hold his own hands. It's really cute! He is actually reaching for his foot here. He is very intrigued by his feet.

Morning brotherly love.

Chewing.

Standing.

Sleeping. I think this May be a favorite blanket in the future. It's a handme down from Henry.

Cereal!

Sunbathing (mid yawn)

Comparing

At 4 months I see Henry and Beau have the same nose. Luke has Thomas' nose. Luke and Henry have similar chins. I think Beau May have mine. All three have the same lips. Eyes, I can't decide. Luke definitely has Thomas' tear drop eyes, just not as drastic as his. I don't think Henry or Beau do. All three have Thomas' lashes. Lucky ducks.
