First tooth

Beau is the first one of my babies to cut a tooth this early. Today the first tooth finally pushed through. It's a sharp one. :) Luke and Henry didn't cut their first tooth til 6 months.
As a tradition we tapped a spoon on his tooth so he could hear the sound. I think he was more disappointed that he wasn't eating a second dinner.

Henry was here...

EB 2014

Family time again at Edisto. We look forward to this week all summer long. We are so very thankful for my parents providing us all with this time together, all under one roof, no matter how hectic it can be. Here are some pictures of our week together.
Beau's first time to the beach. He enjoyed himself.
Good nights of sleep after full days of play.

5 months old

Beau is getting so big. I am sure he has grown and I can't wait to see how big he is when we have a check up at 6 months. This month we started veggies. He has had all of the veggies in stage 1 including green beans, squash, peas, carrots and sweet potatoes. Each night he has these and cereal mixed with breast milk. He loves eating time but has begun to prefer the veggies over the cereal. He cries for more food if I don' t shovel it in fast enough. Soon we will begin adding fruit to the mix.
He is getting into size 4 diapers.
Takes 6 oz. by bottle still.
Was sleeping through the night until we went to the beach, then he started waking once in the early morning, usually between 4:00 and 5:00 which will be fine once school starts.
He has a tooth that is about to poke through the bottom (left center) and I think it is causing him some pain.
He is growing out of his 6 month clothes and into 9 month clothes.
He has rolls all over.
I've started bathing him in the big bath tub because he loves to kick and splash so much. It's hard to wash him because he moves so much in the bath. He loves it.
He really wants to sit up all by himself and still has no desire to roll over.
He is still a mommas boy but enjoys daddy time too and loves his big brothers. He watches everything they do.
He wants food. Our food. He watches every bite. He is definitely going to be a big eater.
His feet are his favorite toys. He usually is holding one or both but hasn't tried to suck them yet.

Dinner on the porch

Tonight the boys were playing with a neighbor in the back yard so I brought Beau's dinner outside with us. He loves being around his big brothers and outside so of course he enjoyed this. He had squash for the second time. And as you can see, he got his belly full and relaxed. We sure are enjoying our summer!

Doesn't get much sweeter

4 and a half months

Several things. He has this.
It's a bald spot. Not from his crib. But from scooting around on his back. He doesn't care about rolling over. He is just fine with moving all over the floor on his back.

He loves the cereal like this.

I switched to this after the initial bland rice cereal. He liked that too but prefers this. I went for the multi grain this time because he is having very few poops (like every 3 days with awful gas in between) and the fiber helps with that. Also he is having an occasional ounce or two of diluted prune juice. Of course he loves that sweet treat. And so far he is enjoying green beans and butternut squash. He has caught onto the eating with a spoon quickly and wants the food fast!
Green beans! Good and messy!

And this is happening on the regular. Sweet boy.

Big bro

Here is Luke hold Beau in one of Luke's old outfits.

And here is Luke in the out, held by Grandmother Phyllis.

I love seeing Luke's clothes being worn by Beau. Brings back so many memories!

Loving summer

Relaxing on the back porch watching the big boys play in the backyard.
