Test run

Beau starts school on August 9th, same day as me. So Friday our wonderful early interventionist met us at his school and spent their therapy hour in his soon to be classroom. It went great! He did circle time and snack and recess with them. I'm hoping this will help with his transition into k2.
On our way in.

Headed down the hall, like he owns the place.

In they go!

Looking out his new class window.
He's the biggest kid in there, no surprise.

Note to self: beau receives 3 hours of therapy a week, OT (Megan-pronounced Meegan), speech (with Lisa) and an hour with hisEarly  interventionist (Megan).

5 year old well check

We finally made it to Henry's five year old well check. He's a growing boy! Currently he is 94% on height and 97% on weight. He is almost 3 feet 10 inches and weighs 54 pounds. We discussed my concerns about his eating habits and she talked to him about trying one new thing each week, his choice, and cannot be brown or white (carbs). She told him to stand by the trash can, take a small bite and if he doesn't like it he can spit it out. His first week he choose mini cucumbers. I loved them. He hated them. This week he chose red figs. We will see how that goes. He still has trouble with textures but has learned his gag reflex from any new feeling that he doesn't like (like the mud at the beach!)

He wasn't picking...just scratching. :)

Just some fun Henry pictures:
Loves listening to music on his "iPad"

Adores his Lola. He definitely asks more then others to hold her.

Night night

Lola Cate slept in her crib for the first time last night. She is 3 and a half months old and did wonderfully. She slept until 5:30, woke up to nurse and went back to sleep until 9:30. She is such a good girl!

The morning after her first sleep in her crib.

Edisto Beach

This year was great. 10 adults and 10 kids under one roof and we all survived. This was the first year in several years that Thomas was able to go with us. Lots of fun in the sun!
First touch of the ocean. She didn't really have a reaction.

Lots of cousin love (Emma and Lola Cate)

Many beautiful sunsets

Beach naps are the best

And lots of naps in the house.

Cousin love in matching suits and bonnets.

They were not extremely pleased about the photo shoot. Lola Cate on the left and Eleanor on the right.

2nd cousins too! (Ada Nettles)

Grandpa Jimmy, looking for sharks teeth, with no luck.

Not everyone wanted to wear clothes. 🙃
