Fun at the mall

Our mall has this great play area where we can take a break during long shopping trips. This is the first time we played here and Luke loved it, of course!

Artist

Luke created his first masterpiece two weeks ago. I purchased washable crayons to use just in case he ran off the paper but he did pretty good. He loved the crayons. He moved them from one side of the paper to the other occasionally stopping to make a mark on the paper. I was curious to see which color he would choose first and was surprised when he chose orange.

Big Boy Bed

The other weekend we changed Luke's crib sheets and didn't have time to get it made before he was ready for bed. So he accidently had to sleep in his big boy bed. He started out great but woke up at 3:00am crying. When I went into his room he was sitting in the corner of the bed/wall crying. I think he was scared b/c he wasn't sure where he was. So, Thomas quickly made his crib and he slept the rest of the night there. Atleast we now know that he isn't ready for the big bed.

Of course I had to sneak a picture! ;)

New do

Luke got his second official hair cut a few weeks ago. I hadn't posted the pictures from it b/c I don't like the cut. I can't wait for it to grow back out!!

This picture was taken in the waiting area when he still had hair.

obviously he doesn't like his hair cut either!

16 months

Luke is 16 months! At our check up we learned that he is 33 inches, almost 29 pounds (not much weight change but still in the 90th percentile) and he has a really big head. (thanks dad and thomas for the head!) We also discovered that Luke has his first double ear infection!!!!! My poor baby! He started his first antibiotic yesterday. I think we did pretty good to not need an antibiotic until 16 months! Plus me being a kindergarten teacher, he is exposed to everything! I just hope this isn't the beginning of something!
My big boy with his spiderman shades.

You know I can't do a post without adding a picture!

Eggs

I have already posted our Easter pictures but the story behind this one was so funny that I had to share. Mom and Dad came up this past weekend. On Friday, they took Luke to Rachael's to help her do somethings around the house and so I could get some school work done. While there, they dyed eggs. This was Luke's first experience with whole eggs and his favorite things right now are balls. When he saw them, he picked one up and said "ba" (which means ball in Luke language). Then he threw it!!!!!!! Thank goodness they were hard boiled! I wish I was there to see the looks on everyone's faces!

New trick

Look what I can do mom!
