Thomas and two of his boys.

The two big boys getting some lap time. I'd say they pretty much look like their daddy.

Camping

I think the big boys would go every weekend if it were offered, camping...they love it. Thomas does too. Being out doors for atleast 24 hours straight, what's not to love. This past weekend the boys went camping on the Chattooga river. The were in Mountain Rest, SC. They had a great time as usual but froze Saturday night as the temperatures dropped to around 35/40 degrees. Despite the shivering through the night, the boys had much fun and made great memories I'm sure.

Here are some pictures Thomas took.

Teeth brushing in the woods. Dr. Cherry would be proud. :)

Fire!

Fish.

Burrell's campground is where they went this time.

Farm fair

Our 2nd annual trip to the Simpsonville farm fair. And a little park visit afterwards.

Note to self. When Henry was 3 he enjoyed dressing himself which often included mismatching, backwards shirts, backwards shoes, tucking everything in (including sweatshirts and jackets) and accessorizing with "big" socks and belts. Gotta love him. Thankfully his teachers understand. ;)

Shucking corn and pumping water the old fashioned way.

The park afterwards and a train ride.

Artist

I was checking the boys folders one morning as we were getting out of the car and headed into school one early morning last week. Yes, even teachers get slack sometimes because that folder should have been checked the night before. Any way, for some reason I looked at the back of the worksheets before tossing them and found this jewel. As we were getting out of the car I asked Luke who was in his picture, secretly hoping if was me and him. :) however, it was not. Here is what he said.
That is me. And daddy. (Shoulda know) We are going up our steps in our house. And that (the object at the bottom right) is a heart. It means I love him.

Helpers

Daddy's little helpers. The boys helped Thomas paint Beau's room. They loved being part of preparing for our new addition...even if we did have to do some damage control afterwards.

Monster Jam

This is the face of pure excitement. Luke and Thomas went to the Monster Jam last night. This was our birthday present to Luke and it was a good one. He was on cloud nine all night.

A day in the life

Its a boy thing. They wanted some outdoors time. I tagged along for the family time. Not my cup of tea. But I enjoyed seeing them have fun.

My buddy

Remember the commercial for My Buddy... I think of that when these 3 get together on the weekend. Poor Thomas can't do anything without them, but I don't think he would have it any other way.

Daddy's day

Thomas took the boys on an adventure Saturday to spend some time with the boys outdoors and give me a break. Everyone had a grand time!

Missing daddy

Luke really missed his daddy at the beach this year (beach post coming soon). He doesn't quite understand those feelings yet. After talking to Thomas mid week on the phone, he was sad and asked to go home. Then disappeared for 5 minutes and came back with this.
It's a picture of Luke and daddy. And we had to send daddy a picture of it. Luke carried it around for the rest of the day and slept with it that night.
The words say "Luke" and "daddy" I'm so proud of him for getting the L and D correct!!

Pool

It is rare that Thomas goes to the pool with us...but we dragged him there this week. And he very much enjoyed himself! The boys loved having him there and showing off all the tricks they learned this summer so far.

Dr. Luke is in

I had a hard time not cracking up at the things Dr. Luke was doing to Thomas ..."does this hurt?", "what do you see now?" (While covering up one eye), "let me see here." Not to mention that Henry kept sticking a plastic "shot" into Thomas' ear and running away.
It is so funny when we get a little glimpse into their point if view. To him, this id what our doctors do. Very enjoyable at Thomas' expense.

"Does this hurt down here? How about here?"
"What can you see now?"
Notice the football in the upper picture. Henry kept holding it to Thomas' mouth and saying "aahh".
