Coming home

Just realized I haven't published these pictures. My sweet baby Beau coming home from the hospital.

Elijah Mark Angel

Eli finally made it into the world today. He was born today, 3.14.14 at 10:21am. He weighs 7.3 lbs and is 20 inches long. We were so excited to meet him today. I can't wait to watch Beau and Eli grow together. They are 14 days apart. Sure to be best buds.

Beau tried to eat Eli.

Biggest Bro

Both boys have really done a good job as being Beau's big bros. But Luke gets it. He understands being a big bro and he is enjoying it, this time. Today as we were on our way home from the boys school Beau was crying because he was hungry. Luke and Henry get concerned when he cries because he really doesn't cry often. I explained to them that Beau was hungry and I would feed him when we got home. Luke sweetly said, "momma I can feed him with my breasts". And he was serious, he wanted to help. Bless him. I explained to him that although I appreciated his willingness to help he couldn't breast feed Beau. ❤️

First bath

Tonight Beau had his first bath. Despite being hungry before we started (he is always hungry) he seemed to enjoy it. I have figured out the two things that upset him are being hungry and being cold. So I made sure we used warm enough water for his bath. Luke was my helper for bath time. Luke was quite excited to help with bath.

Front door

From hospital door to front door.

Big Bros

Less than a day old and Beau got to meet his big brothers. Love at first sight. They were so excited to finally meet him.

Hospital bath

These pictures aren't great (taken in the middle of the night) but I wanted to document his first official bath. Our hospital does baths in the mother's room.

Belly button

Beau lost his belly button in the middle of the night. That means we finally get to do bath tonight. The big boys are excited about that!

Night night

Beau enjoys telling his brothers night night each night and the big brothers enjoy it too. It's a way I've been able to stay involved in their bedtime and gives them some one on one time with Beau.

Five friends

My fabulous group of friends came in for the weekend just to meet baby Beau. It was so sweet of all of them to take time out of their schedules and away from their families to come visit our newest family member.

Family of five

It's still weird to think or say we are a family of five now. Five sounds big, it sounds like a lot. But I don't feel like a big family. Five feels good. I'm from a family of 6. Thomas is from a family of 3. Our family of five went on our first walk yesterday. I wish we had enough time and beautiful weather everyday to spend this outdoor time together daily, but we don't. So we took advantage of yesterday. Yesterday we had time and it was beautiful! Beau loved the stroller and the fresh air.

Beau. At the beginning of our walk, not so sure about what he is getting into.

At the end of our walk, I think he liked it. 😄

Ash Wednesday

Beaus first Ash Wednesday! The beginning of Lent and because I'm on maternity leave I actually got to go to a day time service. So Beau and I ventured out on our own to his first Ash Wednesday and his first church service. 10 days old in church. He was a very good boy! Little did I know that he wasn't supposed to get Ashes, he isn't baptized yet. Oops!

Last week pic

I had to post this picture so I can remember exactly how big I was carrying my sweet Beau.  This was Tuesday before I went into labor (Friday). My last day of work was Wednesday. Thankfully I was mostly belly with Beau.

Carlisle Visitors

We had our first official visitors today. Uncle Patrick, Aunt Natalie and cousin Emma came to meet baby Beau today! They are expecting a little boy in July too. Emma warmed up to "baby" and wanted to hold him over and over. Thanks for visiting guys!
