Snow 2017

Our first snow of 2017 and also Lola Cate's first snow. We got a great amount and so far have missed two school days because of it. The days have just been too cold to melt it. The boys, of course, love it and have been playing in it daily, suiting up in their snow suits and boots-the temp has been low 20's most of the days. Lola seems to like it but hasn't touched it. I put her in her pink snow suit and she sat in it and watched the boys play.

Even Eddie enjoys the snow!

Snow angel Henry. (5 years old)

And our Beau. (2 months shy of 3 years old)

Snow

We got snow. And so far two days to make up from school. Of course Luke and Henry love it. Beau likes is but doesn't insist on going in it, I'm perfectly fine with that. 😊
This year we lost 7 Leland Cyprus trees. Big bummer. But it could be worse.

First snow (or ice)

We had some ice/snow this week. First we've had since last year. (That I remember)

It wasn't fun snow. I didn't even go out and play in it. But the big boys did for a few minutes. We've missed two days of school so far.

The next morning. Attempting sledding on ice.

Watching from the inside where it was warm.

Snow much fun

Like everyone else in SC we have had a ton of snow! Luckily we just had snow and not the bad stuff, ice. So for the second time this year we missed days of school to stay home and play! Luckily my mom timed it right and volunteered to come up Monday night to help with the big boys. We didn't know at the time that Thomas would be stuck in greenwood all week due to the weather. I don't know how we would have made it through the week without her. Very thankful.

39 weeks!!!
I had to take this one. Too funny!

We said only on the bottom, no faces...Henry took it literally.

Snow day

Finally we got snow. Luke was so excited! Henry was excited but not as much as Luke. Luke played outside most of the day while Henry preferred to stay in except for short plays outside. These were taken Tuesday night. Wednesday morning we woke to more snow! So thankful our good friends Lynne and Paul got the boys sleds for Christmas! They worked perfectly! Luke is a pro now!

Why not have snowman pancakes for breakfast pm our snow day!

Snow!

We had our first official snow! It was beautiful and very heavy at times but didn't stick and only lasted through the morning. It was the day before thanksgiving and we were at the boys dentist visit. We were disappointed when we left and it had already stopped. Thankfully I snapped these pics on the way in to the dentist. The pics don't do the snow justice. It really was beautiful.

Baby it's cold outside

I've heard we are going to have a cold winter. Maybe snow this year. Maybe soon. Exciting. Just as long as February has good driving conditions...
Today Luke made his first request for hot chocolate. And we found a new kind this year, colorful marshmallows instead of the usual white ones. Yummy! I am sure we will have lots of this in the coming months. By the way, anyone ever see one of those mugs with "Henry" on it, pick it up for me please.

The Perfect Snow

Yesterday we got the perfect snow. It came in the afternoon, snowed hard for a couple of hours and stopped before the sun went down. We had just enough time to enjoy the snow and the roads cleared before the day's end and we still enjoyed some of its beauty today. The perfect snow. This was also Henry's first snow! He wasn't so sure what to think of it but mostly because he didn't like being bundle up in his snow suit (which Luke wore two years ago). Oh yes, I tried to put gloves on him several times but he refused them and kept pulling them off.
Can you tell Eddie enjoyed the snow too, brings the puppy out in him!
