First Bow

I'm so excited.  I managed to get a real bow in Lola Cate's hair! Isn't she cute!!

Note to self

Lola's hemongioma around 2 months old. 

LC is 2 months

Lola Cate is two months and doing wonderfully. She had her check up today and weighs 12.6 pounds and is 75th percentile in weight. She is 24 inches long and 96th percentile. She a long girl. 

New this month:

She is cooing and interacting with us more

Loves her changing table

Smiles the sweetest smile

Pouts with her bottom lip out-precious!

Sleeps through the night

In size 1 diapers and size 3-6 month clothes (mostly)

Loves momma

Grasps my necklace and hair and doesn't let go easily 

Eats every 2-3 hours

Hates her car seat and riding in the car 

Loves to be carried in the Tula

Doesn't care for her pacifier much

Still needs to be swaddled to sleep because she is very wiggly

She is a night owl just like in the womb and just like her momma

Henry is 5!

Waffle House for lunch, by request. V

It's hard to believe it but Henry is five years old now. Five is a big milestone for me. I think it's because five is my job. Five is no longer a baby. Five is when big kid school begins and you get forced into growing up quickly. We celebrated today as s family and this weekend we will celebrate with our extended family and friends. In July he will have his five year old we'll check so I will report back his stats then. For now, Henry:

Hates vegetables. All of them. 

Only like apples, the crunchy ones

Still loves to dress himself and is particular about what he wears. He has also become particular about his hair, it cannot stick up!!!!! He uses mousse, gel, hairspray, etc. 

He has lost two teeth

His figure has changed this year. He has started stretching out, getting taller and loosing his baby chub. We never thought this would happen. 

Henry's 5th birthday party

Close family and friends made this party special! We missed those that couldn't come but enjoyed those that made it.

I love watching these three form lasting bonds and friendships. I treasure these rare moments when they aren't arguing or wrestling with one another and just being. :)

First grade

This year was hard for Luke, he didn't care for the homework and difficult assignments, however, he loved his teacher. Mrs. Laskis was the perfect fit for Luke. Luke also made some really good buddies, Nolan and Paxton. I can't believe we have a second grader now. He will get to go upstairs for 2nd grade. He is excited about that but not momma. Also, I will no longer get to visit him at lunch. :( no more sneaking kisses in the middle of the day. I know he will do well though, he is excited!
