Spring Break

Mommy is on Spring Break! And we love spring break because with spring break, comes sleeping in...something Luke is good at! Here he is after he woke up at 9:45 the other morning!!!

Boo Boo

Luke got his first skinned knee today! When it happened, he didn't even cry. But when Papa brought him home with his bandaid on, he showed off for me by crying a little and he even walked with a limp for a little bit. Only the first of many bumps and bruises!

GMP

We were able to visit GMP while in Aiken. She loved watching Luke run up and down the halls of the nursing home! All the other women came out of their rooms to watch the pretty little "girl". I think on our next visit, I will pick his clothes more wisely! :)

Feeding Ducks

The Aiken Hospital has ducks...we had to go feed them! And there were 10 baby ducks! So cute and we were able to get real close to them.

This is my new favorite photo!

Steeplechase 2010

This was Luke's first time going to the Steeplechase. We were very excited about taking him and showing him off to lots of friends that we haven't seen in a while. He did really well and we ended of spending more time than we thought. We got home around 3:30 and he napped until 6:30! He was exhausted but had a great time! He loved the horses!

Big boy bed!

No, we are not ready for a big boy bed yet...but we were given two twin beds and couldn't pass it up! Well, the attic doesn't have room for two beds and we aren't ready to get rid of our queen bed in the guest bedroom yet so, Luke's room got a new addition this weekend. He is not ready to move out of his crib yet but he has begun to try to climb out so we know it isn't that far away! I am hoping that by having the bed in his room for a while, it will make the transition easier when he is ready. We might even start trying to do naps in the bed in the early summer. When he does move to his big boy bed, we will remove the crib and add the 2nd twin. We took the changing table out this weekend to allow for more room. (that was a little sad) He was already too long for it anyways. I am pleased with how everything worked out, I was expecting it to be more cluttered looking. But we can deal with it for now. My original plan was to paint the beds/night stand white but now I think the bed is okay. We have to paint the room still and the night stand but we aren't going to worry about that until he is out of his crib. Here are our pictures of the transition after Luke woke up from his morning nap.

Hey, there is something new over there!!

What is that thing mommy?!?!
Is this really mine daddy?

The finished room...for now!

Downtown

It was such a pretty day today in Greenville that we couldn't resist joining the crowds of people downtown before going out to eat. Luke loved going to Falls Reedy as we expected. He loved being able to run free! I don't think he was to sure of the big bridge though. By the time we finished dinner and headed home, he was exhausted. We had a great time and found some fun things for his Easter basket at the Mast General Store on our way back to the car. Hope he sleeps well tonight because he is headed to the Zoo with Daddy tomorrow for another exciting adventure!

Luke and Harley

As I have said many times before, Luke loves our animals. So when Harley our cat decided to sit in Luke's rocking chair, Luke saw it as a chance to cuddle with him! Harley wasn't too fond of it however.

In case you were wondering, the rocking chair came from my Grandmother Phyllis.
