Nursery
Finally. We have gotten far enough along in Lola Cate's nursery that I can post some pictures.
My parents came to town to help during spring break and that's what got things moving. Grateful for help. I am so pleased with her nursery and cannot wait to see her in there with all of her beautiful things.
The big girl bed. Or whoever needs to use it bed. The bedding is just beautiful. It's crushed velvet in "blush" with a satin trim. Oh so girly. Above the bed on the big wall are two deer (you may have seen them in Beaus nursery) and two rabbits. And of course two bonnet holders. On the wall above the head of the bed are two hand painted ceramics done by my mother in law. But what's even more special is that she made them to be used in Thomas' nursery. She offered them to me to use this time, I love them!! I think it's just the perfect addition to her nursery. See a closer picture of them below.
Her crib. Beautiful. Dainty. Jenny lend. Very girly. The bedding is just beautiful but you can't tell from the picture. It's white with Ruffles around the edges and lined in a pink stitch. (From restoration hardware)
Above the crib is another special piece. It is a quote from the song daddy and I danced to at my wedding. I hope you dance by Leanne Womack. I typed this up. Had it printed. And then dad came to town to help me stain the rods and attach and hang. I think it's just perfect. Again, pictures don't do it justice.
Her monogram. You knew I had to add it. Enough said. (Never mind the clutter at the bottom of the picture, it will be gone soon.)
On the closet door is her coming home outfit. Made especially for our girl by my mom. Cannot wait to see her in a bonnet and frills! Mom did an amazing job. This will be treasured forever. The little green sign hanging on the door is something Thomas gave me when we found out we were expecting Luke. It says "shhh...baby dreaming". And there's her dresser, which used to be mine. Dad refinished if for us for Beau's room so we are using it again for Lola's room.
And then she has to have a bow holder for all of her bows. Which I will make sure she wears...I know, not likely, but I sure will try! Close up of bow holder below.

LOC
Hospital door decor. Nothing screams girl more then tule. So, I made a wreath out of soft pink tule. And a satin ribbon. It will be perfect. Can't wait to see it on the hospital door! 11 days and counting down til my due date.

Beau
Last weekend Beau gave us a scare. He drank heating oil #2 which is pretty similar to karosene. He did immediately begin to spit up and cough but managed to ingest some. After visiting the ER, they admitted him into the PICU for a night of observation. The oil appeared to make him intoxicated like. He couldn't stay awake. They were watching to make sure he didn't asperate in his lungs and wanted to monitor his heart and oxygen level. He had 24 hours with no food or drink because that coukd have caused him to aspirate. He was hooked up to all kinds of machines while we were there. He also had an IV for fluids. Thankfully 24 hours after being admitted he was released and was back to our normal active Beau. He did however have about three days where his bowel movements smelled like gas. Thankfully all ended well besides all of us being extremely tired.
Checked into our room in the PICU. He hated the BP monitor. And the oxygen monitor on his toe. Surprisingly he left the IV alone.
By this point we learned we were going to be discharged and they started to disconnect all his cords and tubes. That's when we decided to take a stroll.

35
35 weeks with Lola Cate. I'm officially measuring big, three weeks big. That's a new record for me. So on Wednesday we will get to see Lola and check her weight. Then the will do another ultra sound at 39 weeks to check Lola's weight again. The concern is that she may be even bigger then Beau (Beau was 10.1) and that I may have trouble safely delivering her shoulders. I, however, think we will be just fine. In the mean time, I can't wait to see her on Wednesday!

Pink!
Papa has worked very hard to get Lola's nursery ready. He had painted the ceiling, baseboards, doors, walks and even the bed and nightstand. Everything looks perfect. Finally her crib has come in and we were (I was) anxious to put it all together.
Putting her bed together was a family affair. The big brothers love any chance to work with tools. So they were ready to help put Lola's crib together.

Beau turns 2
Believe it or not our beautiful Beau turned two on Monday. What a joy he has been to have in our family. He is wild and loving all at the same time. He fits in just right, has since the day we brought him home from the hospital. This past weekend we celebrated his birthday with family and Monday night we celebrated with just the five of us. Today he had his 2 year old we'll check. Another confirmation his is a very big boy. He weighs 37 pounds and is 37 inches yalls. His weight is 100th percentile and his height is 98th percentile. Yep. He's still a biggy. Currently he is in mostly 3t clothing but some 4t. He still has the long torso and shorter limbs. He is a pretty good eater. He has joined his big brothers in the big boy room (still in a crib) and sleeps well at night. Loves books and balls and anything his brothers are into. He wrestles with them nightly and likes to copy anything they do. Our lives would not be the same without our Beau.
Pictures from his family party. All the cousins below minus Brennan who wasn't feeling well.
