Closing

The closing of Luke's prayer tonight...
"...thank you for daddy's glasses and for daddy's nose. Amen."

(And no he does not have new glasses...or a new nose.) the thoughts of a four year old. For some reason that was important tonight.

Prayers

Lately Luke has taken over our nightly prayers before dinner. Previously we would all hold hands and Thomas would say our prayer and we'd eat. However Luke has stepped up the last couple of weeks to take over Thomas' job. Some of his prayers are so sweet/funny I feel the need to write them down before I forget. Hopefully I will be able to add on with time. I have figured out the he likes to recap his day within prayer so some may need a little explaining.

One from last week: "thank you for God thank you for Jesus and thank you for my attitude." (He had a rough day the day before and we were focused on a better attitude for that day, he was proud of himself for being a good boy)

Tonight: "thank you for God thank you for Jesus thank you for henry feeling better and thank you for my forehead. " (we had just returned from the dr because Henry is sick and Luke had a spill while there and bumped his head pretty good)

I look forward to sharing more as they are shared with us. Maybe one day I can sneak a camera to our dinner because he won't say his prayers with others watching.

Wings!

Luke loves chicken wings! His face proves it!

One foot

Please stop growing sweet Henry. There is only a foot left in your crib and this momma is not ready for you to be a big boy yet.

The Easter Bunny

Early in the morning, obviously before adults showered and prior to cute Easter outfits, we had a sighting! The Easter Bunny. Henry was so overly excited to meet him that he refused to get near him and screamed and cried so loud he scared the kids behind us. Maybe next year...

Luke's response this year..."it was a girl bunny, I could see her feet under the slippers." However he too kept some distance while playing it cool. :)

Happy Easter

Egg hunt

Each grand had their own color of eggs to find with age appropriate items stuffed inside each egg...the Easter bunny sure is getting smart! Luke was to find blue eggs and Henry was green.
