O. N. E.

Beau is one! The sweetest happiest baby. He is so in love with his big brothers. What a joy this past year has been. I can't believe he has already been with us for a year...but then again it feels like he has always been with us. We are so thankful for our third beautiful boy. (As well as all three!)
At one year old Beau...
does not walk, but he can stand not so gracefully by himself.
Crawls at an amazing speed.
Wears size 4 diapers.
Eats many things but not as much of a variety as I would like.
Loves bananas, grapes, graham crackers, fruit bars, raisin bread, muffins, and many other things but nothing terribly healthy. 😁
Wears size 18-24 months.
Has an amazing smile that makes his eyes twinkle. And his laugh is so sweet.
He naps twice daily.
Sleeps almost through the night. He typically gets up once and takes a paci.
Loves to snuggle.
Cannot roll over. He will lie flat on his back until someone picks him up. But he tries to sit straight up.
Weighs 26.5 pounds (97%)
Is 31 inches long (86%)
Has had 3 ear infection since January. (One with a burst ear drum) We have ENT next week.
Says Mama, Dada and Papa. He also says Daaaaaaa, I think he is calling Luke and Henry that.

We are looking forward to having a joint birthday party with cousin Eli this weekend. Until then, here are some pictures of my boy.

Yep. He loved it.

6 year old we'll check

We finally made it to lukes we'll check. As expected he is growing great!
54 pounds and 48.7 inches. That's 83%!
Dr. Nelson encouragedlue to try something new to eat (example, a vegetable) and he still refused to pee in a cup. And this year he really didn't want to strip for them. So they let him keep his pants on. Funny. Because at home I can't keep clothes on him.

Family Decor

Another day stuck at home with icy roads. We got crafty. We made our family with a sticker book Yoo-Hoo had given us a while ago. Pretty cute I think. 😊

First snow (or ice)

We had some ice/snow this week. First we've had since last year. (That I remember)

It wasn't fun snow. I didn't even go out and play in it. But the big boys did for a few minutes. We've missed two days of school so far.

The next morning. Attempting sledding on ice.

Watching from the inside where it was warm.

When it first started at night.

Cabin adventure

A friend of mine is off in France for two years with her husband's job. They gave us the key to their cabin and said go as often as you like. So we went for the first time valentines weekend. Boys were in heaven. It was the perfect size for us. Two bedroom (one being a loft) and one bathroom. The other room was a bunk with a double and a queen bed. Luke chose to sleep on the top bunk and work up saying "That was a fun sleep". It was extremely cold while we were there and bad weather (snow and ice) was on the way so we shortened our trip. We plan to go again soon because the cabin comes with pool and dock access. Swimming for me and fishing for him. :)

Spiral stairs and loft space upstairs. Boys thought the stairs was the best part.

Beau kept getting stuck under the stairs.

1.22.15

11 months old. In one more month my sweet baby Beau will be one year old. Hard to believe. Makes me sad to think about it but excited for him and all the new things he will begin to discover.

11th month was rough health wise. Beau had the tummy bug. And his first ear infection. And pink eye. And his second ear infection (2 days after finishing his first round of antibiotics). Some how he managed to only get a yucky cold while the rest of us got the Flu.  I have felt like we live at the doctors office. We have been seeing Dr. Song lately because Dr Nelson, our primary pediatrician, only works mornings. We have grown to enjoy Dr. Song however and she has gotten to know is pretty well too.

Beau is a serious crawler. He stays wherever his big brothers are. If I'm in the kitchen cooking, he is off playing with the big bros. I can't wait to watch their relationships develop. He also crawls with a peg leg. I think it makes him faster. Otherwise I don't know why he does it. Standing in all fours is common too. Reminds me of the little boy in the jungle book when he is walking with the animals.

In addition to crawling he has started pulling up on everything. He gets so proud of himself when he can get onto his feet by hims of. Occasionally he gets stuck or gets scared he will fall and will cry for help. He can side step along things, like the couch. But doesn't do it often. He can stand unsupported by a few seconds but always thinks it's a game and purposely falls into your arms.

Size 4 diapers
18-24 month clothes
5 oz in bottles (breast milk only!!!!! So proud of myself)
Struggling with finding table food he will eat. He should be eating more table food by now.
Says PaPa. (Yes we are all jealous.)
Claps
High fives
Drinks independently water from a sippy cup.
Does not sleep through the night. Used too. Still trying to get well so we can get back to that.
Still doesn't roll over.
Has 8 teeth. Those top ones were a doosey. And Dr. Song says he is working on molars now too.
Cruises around furniture.
Copies laughter. Especially from big bro Henry.
Is one busy boy!

Note to self

Beau was diagnosed with his first ear infection yesterday. Poor guy. He has had congestion and cough without fever for a couple of weeks. He has done so well we had no idea that his ears were infected. Mommy guilt big time. Dr. Song prescribed him amoxicillin.

Playing with big brother.
