This weekend

Luke has a few new tricks to report from this weekend. He has learned to pull up half way to his knees, crawl onto the bottom layer of his Grandmother Gail's coffee table, and he now knows how to take his diaper off. Yes, he took his diaper off one night! In addition to his new tricks, he has three teeth peeking through the top of his mouth so we have been keeping the tylenol close! No pictures yet, I will try to get those up soon! We are excited that his army crawling is getting faster and longer. But he still doesn't get on his knees.

I had to make this post two b/c for some reason I can't figure out how to put a video and pictures in the same posting. So the video will follow.
The desired object-my vera bradley camera case. He seems to love anything Vera Bradley: mom's wallet, purse, diaper bag, camera case, etc.

Finally, he got what he worked so hard for! :)

Army crawling

Here is the video. Luke is trying to reach the Vera Bradley camera case. Eddie is just there for support! :)

Big Boy Bath

Luke has grown out of his baby bath tub (a while ago, i am just getting around to posting it). He LOVES the big boy bath! He likes to sit up, lay on his back, and swim around on his stomach in the bath tub. Sometimes he even practices his crawling in the tub. He likes bubbles in his warm bath and of course toys. Bath time is so much fun now!

On August 6th, Luke turned 8 months old!!! I can't believe that he is 2/3 of a year old! He has changed so much in the past 8 months! Now, he is eating a larger variety of food other than the baby food. We have fun giving him new things to try and watching his reaction to them. Just yesterday we gave him his first taste of mashed potatoes. Of course, he loved them. He isn't crawling yet but he is doing a great army crawl. We have lowered his crib to the lowest postion and he loves playing peak-a-boo over the crib bumper. I love that he still wakes up with a smile on his face. Can't wait to see what he will learn next!

Grandma visits

My mom visited this past weekend. On Friday our goal was to tackle all the running around I had to do. By the time we made it to our 4th stop at Target, Luke was ready for a bottle. So mom and Luke sat in the "food court" at Target to enjoy a warm bottle while I did my shopping. Notice the position of Luke's legs and feet!
